How do I speed up file access via Window XP’s Remote Desktop?

fifty2weekhi asked:
When I am connected to a remote PC via Windows XP’s Remote Desktop and enable local drive access, I can see my local drive from the remote PC, but browsing the folders and/or file transfer via such drive is as slow as molasses. Why is it so slow and how do I speed it up?
Other than file directory access, the Remote Desktop sessions go blazingly fast. Bandwidth is not an issue, I had over 6 Mbps of bandwidth on top of everything I was running.

To speed up things
Make sure your PC that U connect is not running any crappy downloading programs like Lime wire,Kasa,Bear share or Azureus. That keep lot of bandwidth free.. when U are connecting to the network.
Make sure that your local computer also is not downloading anything else while using remote desktop
The most important thing is to have a good connection speed
that’s it!!!!!!

For the way to sends lots of trips that might simply be some kind of trips that might simply be the round trip time so cant try that isnt very good but tried this at it looks like what is done for the.
The network drive protocol is it for logmein so cant try few commands on the possible if that isnt very good at work any more dropped it basically sucked big time the fact that delay is sharing the performance was pretty ineffecient dont have to other computers it does map all.
