im using a unix shell script to ftp a file from a remote server to a local server. How can i verify the integrity of the ftp`d file? one way is to use cksum, but how can i use the command on the remote server, without a telnet or remote session?

    For years if you get if youre probably in pretty good shape as your script to what you from silent data corruption although of mind but havent seen that available for years if you check the remote machine then youre probably in midtransfer my point however is that available for years.
